Dr Ioan-Luca Vlad is known as the attorney of the Romanian Royal Family, where he has specialized in international civil status and international estates. For 12 years, he was the adviser, then attorney, of His late Majesty King Michael I of Romania (1921-2017).

Dr Ioan-Luca Vlad is the author of the first English-language monograph on Romanian Family and Succession Law, according to the New Civil Code, published as part of the International Encyclopedia of Laws. The monograph is available here in loose-leaf (Kluwer Law International).
